Thriving
on Challenge
(continued)
Despite the Corcoran Company’s growth, however,
Corcoran doesn’t dwell on the volume of work. He keeps
his focus on each individual project. "Our goal on
every project is to surpass the expectations of the
owners, architects and general contractors," says
Corcoran, who adds, "We do this by asking the right questions,
listening well, and then giving our customers exactly what
they want."
"Our goal on every project is to
surpass the expectations of the owners, architects and
general contractors."
Kevin
Corcoran, President
The Corcoran Company
Corcoran believes the strategies and attitudes of the
leading designers and contractors has spawned a
Renaissance period in commercial construction. "This
industry is moving into unprecedented levels of quality
and service. The way we’re building today is
establishing methods and practices that this industry
will use for generations."
How far into the future is Corcoran looking?
"What twists and turns are ahead for commercial
construction is anybody’s guess. But I can see more
projects with environmental concerns, like ‘green
buildings,' and increasing complexity to address
health and technological concerns. Those are all areas
where The Corcoran Company has already amassed a great
deal of experience."
Corcoran believes a company can never rest on its
record. "This is such a dynamic industry. We
are always in a learning mode, forever honing our skills
and constantly seeking creative solutions to every
challenge." It’s a
focus which translates into significant cost reductions
and proactive problem-solving for the next generation of
The Corcoran Company customers. "Today’s market
demands that you’re in the game for the long haul,"
says Corcoran.
